Background: From 8 to 18 trucks and 65 trailers since working with Coyote
The Irish-based family business Joe Murray Transport was founded by Joe Murray in 1989. When John Murray took over the company in 2008 after his father Joe retired, the company was operating with eight trucks. Before working with Coyote Logistics, Joe Murray Transport did not seem to have the power to work for bigger companies in order to get the work it needed.
Coyote Logistics helped the carrier to overcome these challenges. Joe Murray Transport got to know Coyote bit by bit and started doing lanes from the United Kingdom (UK) to Ireland. While doing so, it noticed the great potential for cross-channel shipments with Coyote Logistics from the UK to the European Union (EU) as well as from Ireland to EU, and vice versa. After all, since the UK left the EU in the beginning of 2021 and withdrew from the single market and customs union, freight shipping requires customs formalities, thus increasing the risk of costly errors and delays. Managing cross-channel logistics with its trusted partners is one of Coyote Logistics’ central expertise , including both transport and customs service.
With the network of shippers, Coyote Logistics provided Joe Murray Transport varied options of work and lanes, which were tailored and more suitable for the company. Joe Murray Transport is satisfied with the services provided by Coyote Logistics, which have brought them more business and growth.
How Coyote helped Joe Murray Transport
Coyote Logistics has great potential for cross-channel work both from the UK to Europe and Ireland to Europe. Basically, if we have trucks in the UK, we can go out to the load board, the company has loads everywhere, says John Murray, Director, Joe Murray Transport.
This helps carriers to neutralize empty mileage and empty running, making its business also more sustainable.
Since Joe Murray started collaborating with Coyote Logistics, the company’s turnover has more than doubled, as stated by John Murray.
CoyoteGO® is what I really like the most, says John Murray.
The digital freight platform allows the company to self-invoice – and to being paid after 28 days.
In addition, on the load board of CoyoteGO®, every carrier can see where they have trucks going to be empty in the next week or even two weeks. With the smart matches feature of CoyoteGO®, companies are allowed to enter the lanes that best suit them. When working with smart matches, a notification will be sent by email with information about where Coyote Logistics has available loads suiting the carrier’s truck. Since carriers understand which loads are available in the next week or two, it allows them to plan accordingly.
Coyote Logistics allows us to specialize in what we do. It understands us as a partner, not as a carrier. I think it really wants us to do well in business. The team has our best interests at heart, I really believe so – John Murray, Director, Joe Murray Transport.
Coyote Logistics helped Joe Murray Transport to overcome its challenges of not having the power to work with bigger companies and find suitable work and lanes for their business Since the collaboration with Coyote, Joe Murray Transport has done more business and was allowed to grow. Due to Coyote’s available loads the company also managed to neutralize empty mileage and empty running, making its business more sustainable.
Coyote Logistics was aware of our needs and acted on that. I would definitely recommend other carriers to work with Coyote Logistics, says John Murray.
